Home Performance with ENERGY STAR®
Southeastern
Regional Workshop for Program Sponsors
September 16-17, 2008, Crowne Plaza Orlando Airport
Co-Sponsored by U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency
Co-Hosted by
Orlando Utilities Commission with Florida Municipal Electric
Association, and Florida
Electric Cooperatives
Association
Join Southeastern U.S. utilities and their energy efficiency program
allies as they
create a common understanding of the key program design aspects
necessary to establish a successful Home Performance with ENERGY
STAR program. The workshop goal is to move toward establishing a
common program platform across the Southeastern U.S. utility
services territories that is poised
for comprehensive, integrated market transformation
of the existing home improvement marketplace.
The U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency are partnering with the host and sponsor organizations as
they seek to enhance support to achieve transformation of the
existing home improvement marketplace in the Southeast region. The
workshop will provide a forum for utilities, state energy offices
and other energy-related organizations to network and learn in a
collaborative environment about the key program design aspects
necessary to establish a successful Home Performance with ENERGY
STAR® program.
Home Performance with ENERGY STAR®
is a national program from the U.S. DOE and U.S. EPA that offers a
comprehensive, whole-house approach to improving energy efficiency
and comfort at home, while helping to
protect the environment. ENERGY STAR® provides a powerful platform
for utilities, state agencies, and other organizations implementing
energy efficiency programs to make a bigger difference in their
communities. Using ENERGY STAR® tools and strategies, organizations
can reduce program costs and implementation timelines while
increasing the efficacy of their programs.
